The Fit Advancement Mentorship (FAM) Guided Transformation Cohort (GTC) is an evidence-based, field-tested, 12-week program hosted by Alan Aragon. - Within the FAM Community, go to the Guided Transformation Challenge (GTC2) forum and go to the GTC2 Official Rules and Regulations post that's pinned at the top of the page.

MEET YOUR MENTOR:
ALAN ARAGON
- Experience & longevity in the field: Alan has worked in the fitness industry full-time in a range of capacities since 1992 (32 years & counting). 1992-2002: full-time personal training; 2002-2012: full-time nutritional counseling. 2012-the present: research, writing, education, & coaching.
- Scientific publications: 30 peer reviewed articles (& counting), a combination of randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews & meta-analyses, narrative reviews, and position stands. Here's an interesting bit of trivia: all of these publications were by invitation from scientific organizations and research teams all over the world, recognizing the value Alan brings to the research realm. Alan was hand-picked by the International Society of Sports Nutrition to be the lead author of their Position Stand on Diets & Body Composition.
- Academic grounding: Alan holds a bachelor's degree in food science & dietetics, and a master's degree in human nutrition. He also holds the original/"OG" NASM personal training certifications (both the Standard & Advanced) under the leadership of Tom Purvis & Mitch Simon. These paper credentials are listed last, since the most meaningful credential is the wisdom gained from field experience.
